Planting Healthy, Reproducing Churches Across Africa
Central Africa Baptist University (CABU) advances the gospel through an integrated model of theological education designed to multiply servant leaders across Africa. At the heart of this model is life-on-life discipleship: the conviction that lasting gospel transformation happens not merely in classrooms, but through intentional, relational investment in the whole person. The goal is singular: to plant and strengthen churches that evangelize their communities and make disciples who make disciples.
The fruit of this model is both measurable and far-reaching. CABU continues to train and graduate students from its Bible, Education, and Seminary programs, men and women now theologically equipped for faithful ministry. Ninety-five percent of alumni are actively serving in ministry, extending CABU's footprint to 16+ nations.
Beyond the campus, CABU's influence is amplified through three growing platforms. Faith Radio broadcasts to a potential audience of 3 million people, reaching more than 1 million daily listeners. The Theological Studies by Extension (TSE) programme brings contextualized, block-class theological training directly to pastors and church leaders who are unable to study on CABU’s Kitwe campus due to distance, financial constraints, limited academic qualifications, or language barriers. Through TSE, more than 3,000 church leaders across Africa have received training for biblically grounded, effective ministry.
Most recently, a new Two-Way Live initiative is bringing biblical training to South Africa through church-based, off-campus training venues that prepare men and women for faithful ministry.
Every part of CABU's work is united by one vision: healthy, reproducing churches across Africa. This is why CABU exists: to come alongside local churches in raising up, training, and equipping servant leaders for Great Commission living, leaders who are sent out to plant and serve more churches. The local church is the bride of Christ; CABU is honored to serve as the bridesmaid, standing alongside her so that sound, gospel-preaching, self-governing, self-supporting, self-propagating churches can be planted. That calling starts with humble servant leaders, raised up, equipped, and sent.
